Whether it is an administrative proceeding, bench trial, jury trial, or alternative dispute resolution, our litigators have obtained favorable results for many clients in practice areas that run the environmental law gamut from water rights, water quality, air quality, endangered species, and areas such as CEQA/NEPA and citizen suit defense.
We regularly appear in trial venues from state trial courts and state and federal administrative agencies to federal district courts across the country; we also handle original actions before the United States Supreme Court. The firm is currently representing clients in two separate original jurisdiction interstate water disputes before the United States Supreme Court. We also handle appeals from trial matters in appellate venues ranging from the United States Supreme Court, to federal and state appellate courts across the Western States.
A quality that sets our attorneys apart from many others is the commitment to examine litigation at every stage and make strategic business recommendations about strategies, as well as the merits of pursuing litigation. We maintain a keen understanding of the business and personal toll that litigation takes, and while our firm’s attorneys are exceptionally skilled at taking tough cases to trial, the firm also aggressively seeks solutions that avoid litigation when client interests are better served.
