We are excited to announce that attorney Casey Shorrock has been promoted to shareholder at Somach Simmons & Dunn. Casey’s law practice focuses on CEQA, NEPA, natural resources, including water, and land use. Casey specializes in both litigation and project entitlement. Her clients include public agencies, developers and landowners, nonprofits, and individuals.  Prior to practicing law, Casey was an environmental consultant and planner working with and for agencies at all levels of government, including tribal.

She had a reputation for being able to move client projects forward—a reputation we quickly saw was much-deserved. Casey earned her J.D. from McGeorge School of Law with distinction on a full merit scholarship as an Anthony M. Kennedy Fellow. During law school, Casey externed for Judge Kimberley J. Mueller at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California and won the Stauffer Charitable Trust Research Fellow Award for her paper on the use of CEQA’s Class 32 exemption for housing development. Prior to joining Somach Simmons & Dunn, she was an associate attorney at Remy Moose Manley, LLP.  Casey is “excited for this next step and happy to continue to serve my clients here at Somach Simmons & Dunn.”
